Calling all library music heads - massive recommendation: This 1969 joint by Akira Miyazawa recently reissued by Japanese label King Records, is essential listening - as if a Japanese soundtrack to Once Upon A Time In The West / Good/Bad/Ugly, crispy drums, soaring trumpets etc

I don’t do year lists as I wouldn’t know where to start or end. That being said, Michael Wollny Trio’s Living Ghosts might be my album of the year. Think Weatherall, Autechre and DJ Shadow doing improvised piano led jazz for Mo’ Wax - or something. It’s phenomenal in any case.
