🐸Eastern dwarf tree frog (Litoria fallax).

Max body length for males 20 mm (0.8"), for females 30 mm (1.2").

Found along the eastern coast of Australia between ~17° S and ~35° S.

Considered Least Concern by the IUCN.

Nearly a calendar year ago I took a trip to Nor California to commemorate something special. On my trip, I was fortunate to see a beautiful Klamath black salamander (Aneides klamathensis)

A Klamath black salamander (Aneides klamathensis) sits on a bed of moss. The salamander is a gray color with white speckles scattered sporadically across its body. The salamander had 9 costal grooves, which are vertical indentations along the torso of the salamander. The tail is thick, only slightly skinner than the body and is positioned in the foreground of the salamander. The eyes are black and appear as two prominently raised bumps on the head of the salamander. The moss is a light green, carpeting the entire photo background, with a small green life of an unknown plant in the top left of the photo.

A very special froggy, the Tapir Valley Tree Frog (Tlalocohyla celeste). It was first discovered in 2021 and is found only in the lagoon at @tapirvalley.bsky.social
