A murdered lover. A false conviction. A galaxy on the brink of annihilation.

Tim Scott believed his life had ended the night he was framed for murdering the woman he loved. Condemned to rot in a prison orbiting a dead world, he has nothing left—until an alien device called Enigma offers him the one
The next book I pitch to my publisher will definitely need a name change.

Not because there's anything wrong with the current name, but it's the final part of a trilogy and its title just straight up spoils the ending of the book before it.

Oops 🤣

I'm writing a crossover that, to put it very basically, involves time travel, multiverse and ancient cosmic entities.

So it should tell you something when I say the end of my most recent chapter is when things got WEIRD

Here in Atlanta yesterday, more than 2,000 people waited in their cars—one woman for 14 hours—for a box of food. The giveaway ended early; there wasn't enough to go around.

Multiply this scene by countless others across the country, and you get a sense of how crushing the desperation is right now.

Some writers follow the theory of "Keep it simple"

I, for some reason, am not one of them 🤣

I had an interesting conversation with someone who read my newest crossover chapter: there is a married couple who were having banter and the reader commented that surely they'd be being a bit more professional?

To me having them have friendly banter, even in a war room, feels a bit more human

@cavan.bsky.social In case you were curious, I'm writer Jenn from the blog comments (I was going to say to prove I'm not some random weirdo...but I am weird 🤣)

I'm writing a crossover (which, odds are, no-one other than me will ever get to read) and I just wrote one of those moments where a character essentially goes "What's the worst that could happen?"

...and then they find out the answer to said question

Fun bit of book trivia: when I was trying to figure out what I wanted the Enigma cover to look like, I briefly considered featuring three characters on the cover...then I realized that sounded a bit too much like I was ripping off my first book's cover.

I'm sure @camerondjames.bsky.social and

I'm such a nerd that I've never managed to write a story that wasn't either fantasy or sci-fi in some form.

So, y'know, if you were hoping to get my historical romance debut you're fresh out of luck 🤣

Cos I'm apparently just really bored right now I fancy doing a Q&A.
Yes you can ask questions about my books/writing, if the answer's a spoiler though I'll plead the fifth

Look to the coasts for Barnacle Geese winging their way into today’s #AutumnArrivalSpotlight. 👀

Arriving from Greenland, Svalbard & Russia, spot them feeding in coastal marshes.

Fun fact: Never seen nesting here, people once believed they hatched from Goose Barnacles at sea!

It's weird to think I'm about to publish a third book in three years when it feels like it took about a decade to get book 1 out there (to be clear, this is NOT a complaint)
