I was bamboozled into believing this was horror, it is not. To me, it seems more YA fantasy/mystery. I enjoyed the thought of the plot but the execution wasn’t great and the characters weren’t all that likable. Too much telling me how they were feeling instead of showing me.

I had so much fun reading this, I laughed, wanted to cry, and it gave me chills. I was slightly annoyed with the MMCs at the end. I don’t want to say more because, spoilers. It is told from an adult pov about his memories of his childhood. So it’s in a child pov but adult dialogue.

A fun short psychological torture book. I understand the vastness of the library is daunting and can drive people crazy and learning that all your personal beliefs are wrong is extremely hard to grasp. Maybe it’s just me not being religious that I’ve considered something like this.

My husband had to come to my rescue today. Dropped my ring down the drain. Thankfully he got it back and discovered why our sink was messing up. So glad my finger isn’t naked anymore😂

1st, a horror/slasher mixed with dark romance, beautiful. 2nd, WHAT KIND OF ENDING WAS THAT?!😭 Loved the book, highly recommend, you wouldn’t even know it’s a debut novel. It’s so well written, but can be a little overly descriptive at times. Just check your trigger warnings.

I tried, I really did. I was about 50% of the way through and I just can’t get into it. Jack was just too unlikable. I also just didn’t find it scary. I head this book was deeply scary and unsettling, unfortunately, I was lied to. All I want is scary😂
