We all know the scene from the movie. Eowyn cuts down the fell beast that lunges for her fallen Uncle and King, slays it in two blows, then proceeds to fend off and defeat the Witch King of Angmar- a feat even Aragorn could not accomplish. A scene that captured our imaginations with her battle cry of 'I am no Man' echoing through the generations. Fuck that bitch up queen. Its a scene that lives in my head all the time. Facing against impossible odds after being told at every turn-you don't belong here- and prevailing when hope seems lost. I only hope I captured a fraction of the power she makes us feel. The picture is of the Shieldmaiden Eowen, her hair and cloak whipping in the wind as the dust parts around her. Her helm sits in the foreground closest to the viewer. Eowen is facing down the Fell beast, who has jaws open and drooling while lunging for her. Uptop his back is the witch king of angmar.

No pet parent likes to make this post. Bandit has been our best friend since he rescued at 6 months old and is an integral part of the Crafty Hobbit. Over the last six months the egg shaped fatty lymphoma on 12 year old Bandit's size has inflated to the size of a coconut. He is an absolute champion and it doesn't affect his movement yet, but we're watching hopelessly as it creeps closer to his spine. While we know we don't have much longer with Bandit, we would like to make his silver years as comfortable as possible. We're setting up another raffle. $10 a ticket for a chance to win a $100 gift card to everything in the store. Any donations made at our markets will receive a 5% discount on everything on the table.
