I’m disillusioned. I relied on Facebook for connection to people I know. Zuck devolved it into a loop of tabloid quizzes. Twitter left us a couple of years ago. Instagram is pointless. TikTok is cool but going away. Bluesky has potential. So far just Trump bashing reruns, no solutions.

What I liked about Twitter pre-Musk was all the journalists and journalist-bloggers and people with hands on roles in the issues of the day. Where are they?

What I’m curious about is what the specific scam is. My inbox is filled with “Hi where are you from”. A few messages in they try to convince me in broken English that they are a native English speaker.
