I have been attending conventions for many years now, small, medium, and big and sized ones all both around the PNW as well as all over the US. Then this year “cupsleeve” events started popping up around the US, outside of them being just for K-Pop. A cupsleeve is basically something that wraps around a cup, to decorate or protect your hand from the heat of said cup (and what's inside of it).

There were many super fun things this year at Kumoricon that really stood out to me, and were fun to see happening at the convention. Lots of fan meet ups, even unofficial ones around the convention. It was cool to see groups of cosplayers from the same series posing together and making new friends. The photoshoots they were doing were great for people watching and people were making some pretty silly TikToks.

It’s only been about a week since Kumoricon 2025 ended, and therefore my last convention of the year (yes, there are a few more but I need a break). Kumo was one heck of a way to end the year for myself, because this convention was about the silly things that take place at conventions (which we see less of in the early part of the year at conventions).

We are just a couple hours out from Kumoricon 2025! This is already going to be a very fun convention to end the year on for my books, as it starts on Halloween!  Cosplayers love to think outside the box and go all out, but adding in Halloween to the mix for a beloved convention? I am so stoked to see what everyone comes up with for a twist on their cosplay, and there will be lots of candy passed out.
