The Canadian Journal of Buddhist Studies (CJBS) is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the third Buddhist Education Foundation of Canada Annual Article Award. Made possible through the generous support of the Buddhist Education Foundation of Canada, this award will offer $1000 CAD each to two articles written by graduate students or early career scholars deemed as excellent, with priority given to those with connections to Canada, broadly conceived.

Michael Hee Ium (1984-2025)

As you may know, our dear Co-editor, Michael Ium, passed away last week unexpectedly in Vienna. It is a great loss for all those who knew or met him. The outpouring of grief and sadness at his passing is a testament to how many people cared for and adored Michael.
