Join the Fight from the Center Right! True conservatives unite against both the liberalism & far right Trumpism (protectionism, nativism, isolationism & authoritarianism).
We are in political opposition, but loyal to the Constitution, against Donald Trump & Trumpism, and for conservative principles.
The 2025 General Election proved that populism (like Trumpism) is not necessarily popular.

We Republicans and Conservatives should urge Congress -- by a veto-proof majority -- to continue to provide aid to Ukraine to defend against Russian aggression.
Many Republicans are speaking out against Trump's plan to force Ukraine to surrender. More Republicans need to stand up now. America must support Ukraine and our NATO allies and oppose Russian aggression

It is good for us on the center right to resist Trump and Trumpism in multiple ways, including as third-party or non-partisans or as Democrats, and even as Republicans to turn the GOP back to its conservative principles, as @republicanlegacy.bsky.social is doing.

As it has been a year since this account was created, I thank all of you for following, liking and reposting posts and commenting.

It is critical for freedom-lovers during these times of challenge to liberty and representative government to keep each other informed and supported.

Just as many of us conservatives were disgusted that Bill Clinton had dodged the draft through fraud and became Commander in Chief, it is disgusting to many of us conservatives that Donald Trump fraudulently dodged the draft and became Commander in Chief.

The results might have been different if the PA GOP had opposed the retention of the Democratic State Supreme Court Justices for good conservative reasons, and not because they opposed science-based reasonable public health policy or wanted judges who would only rule their way in election matters.
Trump and Trumpism were rejected by voters in yesterday's general election. Trump's (non-conservative) policies were unpopular. Had his endorsed candidates won, he would have claimed credit. Thus, Trump lost, even though his name was not on the ballot.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of former Vice President, Defense Secretary and U.S. Representative Richard Cheney of Wyoming, a principled (non-Trumpist) conservative Republican.

There will be Republican Party offices on the ballot next year, such as State or County Republican Committees that principled conservative candidates (non-Trumpists) should seek to turn the party away from Trumpism and back toward its center-right legacy. @republicanlegacy.bsky.social
Fellow anti-Trump conservatives or centrists should start considering seeking election to public office next year, either by seeking the Republican nomination or that of another party or as independents to give the voters a choice of a principled candidate.
Vote for any principled (non-Trumpist) conservatives (on any party's ballot or independent) on the General Election ballot Tuesday, or write in the name of someone eligible who is, or your own name.

Reasonable public health policies are responsible and moral and thus consistent with conservative beliefs. Health is more important than business interest. Conservatives are not libertarians who think we have a right to spread disease versus protecting the public from contagion.
I would usually vote against retaining liberal Democratic Pennsylvania Supreme Court judges. But as the PA Republicans are basing their opposition on the Justices' upholding of reasonable public health policy during the pandemic so they can pack the court, I shall not vote No.

The reductions in the number of refugees permitted to come to America that Trump put on place in his first term, plus the Covid-19 Pandemic, were major contributions to the huge pent-up demand under Biden of refugees seeking asylum from persecution. There was no "open border" policy.
Trump's restrictions against refugees seeking asylum from persecution, which continues his policies of his first term, betrays America's promise as a refuge of liberty, even though the refugees are thoroughly vetted.
Trump's drastic reduction of the number of refugees allowed into America to 7,500 and restriction of most of that number for South African Afrikaners -- who are not persecuted -- is a betrayal of the Afghans who helped us, who face imprisonment, torture or death. It thus undermines our security.

Trump's restrictions against refugees who are fleeing to save their freedom and lives is a contradiction of his policy of supposedly protecting innocent life. Sending refugees to their deaths for exercising their natural rights is not pro-life.

Conservative Republican President Ronald Reagan believed in free trade and negotiated the first free-trade agreement with Canada. He opposed protectionism, only using tariffs (a tax on imports) as a tool of foreign policy or against the protectionist trade policies of foreign States.
