A sporadically updated pop culture blog where I write about everything new, old, and weird in pop culture (Movies, TV Shows, Anime, Books) and occasionally talk about my own writing.

This is why being an Australian book and comic fan sucks sometimes. Like why is the shipping 3x the price of the actual books - which are on sale. 😭 I live regional and its also more expensive in shipping versus metro. You may as well not offer international shipping at this point of unaffordability

Dear booksellers in the know please go to your colleagues and tell them what the wicked book actually contains. Cause I think I just witnessed a bookseller sell wicked to an unsuspecting grandmother. 😭

This is a thousandth reminder wicked the book and wicked the musical are not the same.

Did I spend all night playing The King is Watching. Hell yes I did. God this game is so fun and even better now it's been fully released.

One thing I've found helpful about my mini vacay is that it has done wonders for my concentration. Is it perfect no, I'm ND it will never be perfect. But I feel less stressed just not being in a hostile work environment and not surrounded by noise and distractions at home. Kind wish it was longer.

Got to really play the max finale today since it's my day off and it kind of solidified the option I've had for a while that #PokemonGo really needs to up the amount of raid passes and max particles they give players each day

// Spoilers: Citizen Sleeper

I really want a Citizen Sleeper work that explores the Gardener ending and how the AIs of this world's own humanity is shaped by their protocols and their adaptation to a post-corporate life...

My dream house will have a library/reading room with an attached basement book archive/library for all the books and series I don't want on display right now. I would also have to win the lotto to ever have a chance of building such a house, but a girl can have dreams, right?

Sometimes I can look at a book or comic and go "That's clearly your serial numbers filled off fanfiction, and I'm proud of you for doing that."

Started watching Delicious in Dungeon and it's making me so hungry!! I also like how each new recipe incorporates ingredients from the previous one, and they are constantly reusing and replenishing their supplies. Sometimes I find that food manga doesn't focus on this aspect of cooking.

New Review up!! Absolutely adored Citizen Sleeper by Jump Over the Age. Can't wait till the sequel goes on sale again because I just want to jump back into this world full of hope, resilance, and tragedy.

Sometimes you just watch a console showcase and know that some studio paid a hell of a lot of money to be in it - cause seriously, what was that campfire game in the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?

The major disconnect Humble Bundle had to have between their Queer audience and themself to select the Trevor Project as their fundraising charity for an HP bundle seems concerning. The fact that it was intentional* is downright malicious.

Crying right now cause Citizen Sleeper is such a heartbreaker. In tone, I'd liken it to 'The Knight and The Butcherbird' by Alix E. Harrow - in that it is about hope, resilience, and tragedy all going hand in hand to create this wonderfully bittersweet narrative.

Brought myself a Instax Mini Evo and was playing around with what I could print on it. I just love the idea of having a card catalogue of little instax prints of favourite panels from comic books. I just wish the film was cheaper - or there was some third party alternatives.

I love when I get a nice fat tax return. Literally made my day since I've been feeling so shit lately.

I'm going to be honest I've been really struggling lately with consistently creating and posting content. Work just saps all my energy and the days off I do have I usually end up sleeping. I'm constantly burnt out. I love giving book recommendations but it been so mentally hard lately to post.

#FirstNationsBooks #NAIDOC

Sunday marked the beginning of NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee ) Week here in Australia. And to celebrate, I'm going to recommend some books to add to your TBR all week.

The #PokemonGo Ghimmighoul event is so buggy every gold pokestop I go to just ends up changing to a normal one as soon as I get near. It's ridiculous.

I think all Autistic Girlies can relate to losing yourself in a good book that it not only becomes your favourite thing but your whole world.

Peachtree Teen seems to be the champion of Queer Autistic Horror with their wonderful catalogue of Andrew Joseph White books and this new release in September, Hollow by Taylor Grothe, adding to their catalogue.

Also, I'm going to throw in the towel and admit defeat, I don't have enough spoons right now to recover from the flu, go back to my "day" job, and post daily, - cause I don't currently have a backlog of posts. So my #PrideMonthBookRecs posts are probably on indefinite hold.
