Brought the baby girl home today. Her given name was Kiko, "joyful child." My partner was still workshopping a possible rename as we got to know her better. Maybe Joan? Wynnie? She was so sweet and playful, and we loved her so much in such a short amount of time. ❤️

He passed away a few minutes ago. ❤️
Marius update: he's doing well with the feeding tube "meals" but is not showing much/any improvement. He's comfortable and getting plenty of rest right now. We got him some flowers and Greta's old blanket. ❤️

Prognosis is still not good, but he's home and as comfortable as can be. They saw some fluid in his belly on ultrasound and have him on the baby girl's leftover FIP medication just in case. Only time will tell now. ❤️
Had success last night and this morning feeding him with the tube without him barfing! He's back at the vet for another round of IV fluids and then we start increasing the food intake at home. ❤️❤️❤️

definitely a bit annoyed that they treat one cat for FIP, which is a covid mutation, but when I ask if my other cat's decline in health, which happened at the exact same time, could be connected to covid, they're like "well, we can't know for sure, it could be a lot of things"

Marius is on IV fluids right now, but still not eating. He got an appetite stimulant and we're hoping he'll eat on his own, but he dropped 2 pounds since his dental issues and his liver is struggling. If he doesn't eat on his own, we can make the hard call or get him a tube.

also Marius has liver failure from the weight drop after his dental issues, they're seeing what they can do in-house but vet says it's doesn't look good

I am very sad to report that the baby girl passed away in her sleep during the night. 💔
Took baby girl to the vet after seeing some abnormal bloating & loss of appetite, & unfortunately she is now being treated for "wet" FIP, a mutation of feline covid. Thankfully it's no longer a death sentence, and we're getting her started on treatment ASAP. This poor baby! 😭💔
