Attorney. Spoonie. Tired most of the time. Criminal justice, disability & autoimmune disease, cats, Dodgers, hopefully something positive every now and then. He/him. Hopes to make sense of all this eventually, but probably won’t.
It’s amazing how often life seems reduced to putting on and taking off sweatshirts. Being too hot or too cold and trying to find the right combination of sweatshirts. Recovering from the effort of changing sweatshirts. Getting tired halfway through and lying there with one arm through a sleeve

You just have to hope that the wrong pieces of writing aren’t all that remains of this time, a time in which people lived, created joy, suffered sorrow, and worked everyday to make things that mattered and fought for a better world for us all with their ideas and passion

I know there are new shows I wanna start watching, but I just keep being like “no, I don’t think I can handle meeting any new people right now”

I think we need to be really clear that this is yet another Democratic betrayal of the Long Covid community.

This is what makes people vulnerable to MAHA.
Kaine, who has experienced Long Covid, is abandoning those with Long Covid who have to work as contractors who are too sick to work full-time.
Rosen makes 7 Dem Caucus yes votes, joining ->

Two of the most despicable smirks I’ve seen in my life have been Mitch McConnell’s and Chuck Schumer’s. Both were worn while spewing pretextual garbage that they know you know is all a lie—and showed their bottomless enthusiasm for screwing the American people in general and Democrats in particular

Halloween’s special for me, disability-wise. I live in a trick-or-treat hotspot & friends bring their kids here. I can sit out front & say (i.e., rasp) hi as they stroll by & also retreat inside when I need. It’s the one night that social life safely comes to me with no work/prep needed. It’s a gift

Damn: over on IG, New Disabled South shared that in 36 hours, they’ve received 12,400 requests for grants of $100 (individuals) or $250 (multi-person households) for people who usually receive SNAP.

The need already comes to $2.7 million—against $36,000 in available funds.

If you can help—

Sad news today. His music will remain the soundtrack to indelible moments in my life, and I’ll always be grateful to have it.

What about voted on? Were the “healthcare issues” gonna be voted on too, or…?
Mike Johnson: "It's about keeping Congress operating so we can get to healthcare. We always were going to. They're lying to you. Okay? The healthcare issues were always gonna be something discussed, deliberated, contemplated, and debated in October and November."

Watched a movie produced by Skydance tonight and happened to notice for the first time the logo isn’t really the sky dancing but more just appears to be the world getting incinerated, and I thought that was interesting

Your existence feels like an insurrection.

All your words are a terrorist attack.

Your standing on the sidewalk burns my cities to the ground.

My weak little heart will send the National Guard

A couple years ago, when the first mifepristone lawsuit was working its way around, we were all like, “you assholes, it’s LITERALLY SAFER THAN TYLENOL!” And so they just fucking had to be like, “…Tylenol, you say…?”

I’m in a Facebook group for patients who receive IGg infusions. We’re prescribed Tylenol as a premed; it helps prevent headaches and the rare case of aseptic meningitis. Now there’re posts asking if we should still use it—particularly from parents in the group for their kids. I am filled with rage

During his rambling statement today, over and over, Trump disclaimed that he didn’t know if something he just said was true. Or that it was based on a “rumor.” Or said it’s only what he feels, or is just “common sense.”

At every step, he told us this is medical advice that he’s JUST MAKING UP
