Nestled in the historic shopping district of Old Colorado City, The Holly Leaf has brought Christmas joy and magic to the Colorado Springs community year-round for decades. This will be its last year, as the shop is set to close at the end of December.

It was ridiculously cold in Steamboat Springs, Colorado this morning. The thermometer read -16 F (-26 C) at 5:30 am. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to spend a few days in the mountains with friends and family. More photos from the trip to come!

I can recommend Poor Richard's Bookstore in Colorado Springs. Poor Richard's is a fabulous little bookstore that stocks the newest releases and has a great collection of used books. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, they buy used books in good condition for cash or store credit.
Here's your daily reminder that bookstores keep the love of reading alive — but they also keep neighborhoods beautiful. They are places to gather, to celebrate stories, to find community.
