I'm the ASFRchaeologist. I spend my time digging up gems and fossils that you'll be able to see in my museum here on Bluesky.

I do this as a hobby, I currently don't accept comms, though I might do requests, in which case I will make a post announcing such. However, there are specific rules:

Today is Good Stone Day in Japan. Been having some artblock lately so unfortunately I have nothing new to share, so here's some reposts of some of my more recent works.

On Halloween, most seek candy, but an older mage sought something sweeter: The ASFRchaeologist, casting a spell that shrunk and trapped her in a lollipop. She'll return to normal if someone licks her out, but with the mage, that might take a while...

Blue Archive's Sensei handcuffed to a pipe and petrified by Wakamo, who wanted to ensure he never left her side. The handcuffs are useless now that he can't escape, but were kept anyway, since she loves seeing SCHALE's top teacher helpless, chained, and in despair.

Here's an anonymous animated commission, of characters turned into pop-up book figures. It was somewhat challenging to rig and I doubted at one point that I could do it but... here we are.

According to British folklore, the fossilized shells of ammonites were really coiled-up snakes, petrified by St. Hilda. As a result, carved stone heads would be added to the fossils, and they were called snake stones.

Dinomorphia Therizia frozen in a block of copper-coloured Carbonite. The same as previous, but as a Trap Card called Dinomorphia Fossilizer. Its text reads: "Target 1 face-up Level 4 or lower 'Dinomorphia' monster on the field; equip this card to that target. Its effects are negated, it cannot be destroyed by battle, and it cannot declare an attack until the end of this turn."

Moral of the story, don't steal from magic users - it's just not worth the hassle...
First part of a three-image sequence about a clumsy thief being transformed into a golden statue. Our unlucky protagonist has just been caught breaking into the private chambers of a powerful mage. Suspended in mid-air and immobilized by a swarm of ethereal hands, he is unsuccessfully trying to talk his way out of the situation. Second part of a three-image sequence about a clumsy thief being transformed into a golden statue. While the unseen mage goes off on a lengthy tangent about the economic implications of transmuation magic, our horrified protagonist is gradually turned into a solid gold sculpture, still floating in mid-air as his clothing disintegrates and his flesh is converted to shiny, polished metal. Third part of a three-image sequence about a clumsy thief being transformed into a golden statue. Our now fully changed and immobile protagonist is grouped together with a collection of other golden sculptures heavily implied to be individuals who have suffered a similar fate. Out of frame, the mage and one of their guests are having a conversation on the potentially dubious aesthetics of gilded statuary.
