Something that is a lot more speculative on my part—but that I have heard anecdotally—is how the proliferation and popularity of these applications have, yet again, changed the public social dynamics of dating, too. For at least some, it is now taboo and weird to approach & ask someone out IRL.

Today I came across this historic New York Times article that claimed that Hitler was “tamed” and “wiser” after a stint in prison - which predicted he would retire.
(He didn’t).
