Why does #HouseofKnives feel like they were going for an Asian food show feel but then selected Scott Conant as the host. It's confusing and not holding my attention the way other competitive cooking shows usually do.

Guise, it's tiiiime! Arcs are ready and
@wednesdaybooks.bsky.social is doing a Netgalley and GoodReads promo this month.

Calling all bookfluencers, reviewers and bookish people - if you like YA Contemporary fiction that's a lil scandalous but with heart, request ya girl's book.

Yesterday's #CIAA championship was exactly what I needed. Affirming myself in the many different flavors of our culture is doing wonders for my well-being. Let me leave this here. My apologies my videography got a lil janky.

Okay so...let me gather myself. Because it's the last day of 28 Days Later and I'm emotional.

I can't say enough words about the community that, by sheer force of compassion, loves on Black kidlit authors and illustrators. I love me some, Edi! 🤎🤎

Y'all we made it!! 🥳 28 days later, your lives are richer in #BlackKidLit creatives.

And we wrap up this year featuring someone who is her sister's keeper. That feels so needed, right now!
Today's creative's work comes from a place of nurturing not only the reader, but also women in community.

Her championing that motherhood and womanhood go hand in hand informs her books, helping to positively impact our girls.

Being in community is a lifestyle. I love seeing an entire career made from that organic support.
Today's creative shares how community played a part in him becoming published. And you all know how we feel about community! 🤎

There's power in that experience, and he's sharing it.

A book about teens teening is NOT an Issue book. The label presumes it's a heavy or traumatic read.

Teens live in the same garbage fire as adults. YA is about them getting through the day, the week.

In Balancing Act my characters go through shit yet there's hope and joy. It's called life.

Beyonce fans, you know what to do. We're boosting everything Cowboy, right?
Today's creative was a publishing insider before blessing us with, My Daddy is a Cowboy.

It's special when those who have spent time on the other side of the publishing experience decide to channel that energy into a book for a child.
