One thing that strikes me immediately is the monster reflection seen in the Shatterseal Greatsword, the Winner for the Weapon Contest.
Can’t quite tell if that’s meant to be Arkveld or something else entirely.
Regardless, I’m super fascinated by the designers vision and can’t wait to use this!

Something I did also absolutely adore, we’ve known about it since pre-release demo footage but oh my god.
Stories3 handling its tutorial by having it be the Prince/Princess teaching the basics of being a Rider/Ranger to Thea.
It weaves itself nicely into the narrative while also teaching players.

Like mashing a button to push back the opposing monster, rotating the circle stick in a beam clash, and mashing L/R back to back to win a flight contest.

I think the best advice for the older games is to just slow down. The further back you go, the closer the combat feels like its almost turn based.
Also, try and immerse yourself in the game if you can. Engaging with every little detail of the old world makes it feel more alive.✨

I genuinely think CAPCOM hit it gold when it came to how Habitat Restoration works.
By selecting what monsters move into the each area, you’re directly affecting the egg pool, AND what monster spawn in the as battle encounters.
Meaning that what players see in their games will differ from others.

I was always obsessed with the idea that Fish was a highly eager researcher working alongside Bahari during the Anomaly Investigations, being equally fascinated with the surrounding ecology even as everything is going haywire.
