Key moment for Starmer and his administration with Trump 2.0 coming in. What is the UK Gov going to give up to maintain trade relations? Is a US-UK trade deal a must? How are we maintaining our support on Ukraine? I am genuinely afraid that this will be quite turbulent ahead...

Anyone who thinks our benefit system is too generous, has clearly had their common sense surgically extracted by the Daily Mail.
Losing your job is financially catastrophic (esp for mortgage payers, who drop to just 12% of an average wage overnight). And our sickness benefits bill is similarly mean.

This is the problem with the current narrative that if you get any government support then you are taking advantage of "the good" hard working people. This needs to end. I wonder if the same outrage comes when UK Gov spends billions of pounds on fossil fuel projects...
Just incredibly bleak that when a Labour government is finally in power, disabled people still have to wake up to front pages calling them a blight on society.
