Disappointed with that result against palace! It was nice to see Maatsen get a start. I have questions about how vulnerable we look defensively at the moment. Are we lacking confidence?

If those Diego Llorente rumours are true coupled with the fact we are hamstrung FFP wise in Jan, I think he fits a good profile and cost point. Hes essentially Konsa cover & allows us to play a bigger RB/RCB hybrid and play Konsa at CB.

Asked Emery what he had changed from Villa's attacking corner set-up between the game at Anfield to here against Palace.
He explained #AVFC kept three players outside the box today, instead of two - wanting to stop transitions. So he was disappointed with Palace's first goal.
