My favourite genre of anything is "middle-aged actress has a nervous breakdown". Sondheim, Oscars etc.

I hate gay Christmas, what do you mean your shop window is a recreation of the insane #BarbraStreisand award room photoshoot?
I keep scrolling past all the Bluesky Wrapped posts and thinking it's the Falsettos revival.

Okay, I'll accept the Jonathan Bailey/Ariana Grande Sunday, only if they cast Louise Gold as the Old Lady/Blair Daniels. I need it!

Last time I went to see a production of Into The Woods, there was a fire alarm/ evacuation in the middle of Act 2 and then it was announced that the Queen had died while I was on the bus home. No spoilers, but neither of those things happened tonight, so two thumbs up. #intothewoods

I mean, if I had a nickel for every time a composer named Stephen S- wrote a song in which the wife of a baker had to choose between her current slightly boring husband and the fleeting attentions of a hunk, well, I'd have two nickels, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Currently consumed with a vision of @realjoannagleason.bsky.social suddenly hurtling onto the stage of the current NYC revival of The Baker's Wife, in full Into the Woods regalia, looking around bemusedly, and then making a quick exit.

Love Scott Mills on Radio 2 refusing to voice a positive opinion on Mary Queen of Scots, just in case she turned out to be problematic. 470 years? Too soon to be certain. #radio2

I saw 'Elaine Str-' and nearly jumped out of my skin.
The final callbacks for EVITA are chock full of intriguing What Ifs?

Am I gonna go and see the two west end shows about Mary Todd Lincoln in the same week. Why would you ask us, a Narnia blog about this?

Rooting for Lesley Manville for Best Actress in a Play this year so she can finally complete her EGOT (Emmerdale, Gary Oldman, Tony)

I was waiting a while to see if anyone was gonna post the answer. So here's my (unnecessarily extra) solution.

Love the frantic Rose's Turn part towards the end of the OBC Gypsy Overture, especially when it goes 'HONK, HONK, HONK-HONK-HONK' three times quietly in the background just before it goes into the fantastic screeching trumpet solo.

Have always been curious to know who the non-royal with the most famous grandparents is. Daniel Day-Lewis's kids with Rebecca Miller have a Poet-Laureate on one side and Arthur Miller on the other. Isabelle Adjani, Jill Balcon and Marilyn Monroe are mixed up in there tangentially, too.

Sad that the #AnnLee biopic starring Amanda Seyfreid isn't about this diva.

It's my birthday, which is also the 10th anniversary of going to see the Imelda Staunton Gypsy, complaining to my friend beforehand that I'd never get to see Louise Gold play Rose, then finding out on arriving at the theatre that Imelda was off sick so her understudy LOUISE GOLD was on instead. LOL.

Lovin OG Mon Mothma hamming it up as a society Grande Dame in At Bertram's Hotel on BBC4 right now. I can't be certain, but I have a feeling that someone's gonna get murdered in a minute.

As an impressionable gay 8 year old, I had no idea what it meant to be a Jewish Widow, but I definitely based my entire personality on Miriam Karlin in So Haunt Me.

Love it on Escape to the country, when they make they make the couple squidge up on to one side of the back seat, so they fit into the camera shot.
