Last time I went to see a production of Into The Woods, there was a fire alarm/ evacuation in the middle of Act 2 and then it was announced that the Queen had died while I was on the bus home. No spoilers, but neither of those things happened tonight, so two thumbs up. #intothewoods

I mean, if I had a nickel for every time a composer named Stephen S- wrote a song in which the wife of a baker had to choose between her current slightly boring husband and the fleeting attentions of a hunk, well, I'd have two nickels, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Currently consumed with a vision of @realjoannagleason.bsky.social suddenly hurtling onto the stage of the current NYC revival of The Baker's Wife, in full Into the Woods regalia, looking around bemusedly, and then making a quick exit.

Have always been curious to know who the non-royal with the most famous grandparents is. Daniel Day-Lewis's kids with Rebecca Miller have a Poet-Laureate on one side and Arthur Miller on the other. Isabelle Adjani, Jill Balcon and Marilyn Monroe are mixed up in there tangentially, too.
