It's a beautiful sunny day here in #MiddleTennessee and the temperature is in the upper 60's🌞 Saying good riddance to the last of the ice from #WinterStormFern!! We've been outside doing a little tree branch clean up this afternoon.....LITTLE being the key word. Us old folks can't last long👴👵

We took an afternoon drive on Natchez Trace Parkway. Lots of damaged trees from #WinterStormFern, some sections worse than others. Three photos at our favorite stops, The Tobacco Farm (mile marker #401.4) and Swan View Overlook (mile marker #392.5)

Tennessee is approved to receive 60.6 million federal dollars. As it stands right now the Individual Assistance has not been approved only Public Assistance meaning government agencies and certain nonprofit organizations including churches. I sure hope the money finds it way to those that need it!

A squirrel discovered the bird seed on our back porch. He ate for about 30 minutes. Now he's ready for a nap. "This is so much easier than one of those dang bird feeders" he said (he probably thought....or I thought that's what he thought)🐿️

This Bluebird I photographed yesterday here in #MiddleTennessee looks like it's wearing a blanket. Had never noticed before how unusual their blue coloring is.

But hundreds of kids remain in facilities that are no place for children.
Release them all.

We've had a nice, sunny day here in #MiddleTennessee. Lots of ice melting with temperature right now at 43 degrees. Photographing the damage to our trees caused by #WinterStormFern. Beautiful sunshine coming through where half of the limbs are missing on this tree. What a mess!

February's #FullColdMoon at 6:25 AM this morning (Monday, 2nd) peaking through the branches of our pine tree. It was still behind clouds when I checked at 5 AM so back to the warm bed.....and this is the best I could do🌕

We finally saw some improvements today here in #MiddleTennessee. We got above freezing today with a high of about 36 (I think). Trees dropped lots of ice but lots of ice still remains on our driveway and roads in the neighborhood.
