Just beat my first boss in Moonlighter 2, huge props to @digitalsungames.com for the incredible atmosphere, having the music skip/stutter when you're hit is awesome!

Moonlighter 2 is real good, it feels like the Hades of Digital Sun's roster, a game that takes everything they learned from their prior titles, and levels it up.

This proves the only people really buying the "AI will solve everything" nonsense are the CEOs. Maybe Krafton should replace their CEO with ChatGPT?

After playing more I can confirm the unit AI in Anno 117 is garbage. I can place 3 siege ships with extra range to bombard something, and they instead die after sailing close to point blank the enemy position.

I've been playing Anno 117 and oh boy is this a game that eats the hours. It's so easy to get lost in the minutiae of min-maxing health/happiness/fire safety, or expanding to a new island.

Gonna be playing Anno 117 & posting some thoughts soon. Haven't played many of the Anno games but ever since I played Ceasar III I've been a sucker for city builders.

Summoner works surprisingly well in a bullet heaven game.
Was exactly as laggy as it looked. Back to trying new characters/builds. Was fun putting together a super dodge, movement speed poison build, but eventually enemies scaled, damage fell off so did frames. This is why I don't push endless modes much in bullet heavens anymore.

Megabonk, Brotato, and God of Weapons all have endless modes/options. For awhile I was trying to push as high as possible in Brotato. But recently, I've found the gameplay of endless less interesting than the character building to get there. It's just...long, and often boring, then you die.

Also, depends on how much I know/trust the source - for example if I'm watching an Unpacked episode I won't be as likely to look into something (unless something seemed off). But if I'm watching a channel for the first time I'll usually look up at least the basics about who they are.

On a quick surface level, pretty regularly, I like to know someone's background. But if the topic is controversial or something feels off to me I'll look deeper.

It's one of FromSoftware's early titles, originally released under the name "Rune II" in Japan, then the name was changed to Lost Kingdoms II when it released in the west.

My favorite is "X game is bad because it's political, but Y (very politically coded but slightly more subtle about it / referencing things they don't understand) game is good because it's NOT political."
