US Senators, don’t you want the adulation from being #67 in an impeachment trial vote?

On days when the Activist/Podcaster class rages at the Establishment Dems, I listen for actual alternative paths and outcomes. Please leave your ideas here (I’m not hearing it elsewhere):

The NY Dem establishment has to ask: where was our Spanberger/Sherrill? One could imagine a middle aged woman in Park Slope who started global philanthropy, built a consultancy, teaches, elected locally. 1/2

Georgia had the best GOTV.
California’s Prop 50 may have the biggest impact on Congressional strength for a few years.
Colorado’s tax the rich to feed school kids will inspire a raft of economic populism by Proposition.
The diversity of styles on winners is a sign of strength.

Watching Latinos and Asians snap back to the D’s so dramatically makes you realize, Trump is enacting Prop 187 (actually worse), when all Pete Wilson did was talk. And it cost the GOP California… 31 years ago.

Grassroots activism and grassroots diplomacy are absolutely supercharged on social media. Whether it’s live audio, pictures in a family group chat, or videos posted, there’s a credibility and personalization that’s unmatched.

Just being real, it’s hard for two people dating to effectively text if one is iOS and the other Android. The lack of Reply to blurb, not enough emojis etc.
Last night I was told the solution: move to WhatsApp #dating #iphone #android

A split in the anti-Trump coalition is whether to turn farmers into mini-Lehman Brothers and let them fail. The consequences ought to be thought through.

The press is missing the magnitude of the health insurance issue. They probably have a nice plan through their employer. The Ds have the wind at their back here.

The job of a chief executive is to invert the learning process. Primary education is about the What. Secondary education is about the How, how things work. Tertiary is about the Why, with grad students answering their own Why question in a thesis/dissertation. CEOs employ all three intellects 1/2

Perhaps a silver lining of the tough job market for educated people, is that maybe some will become school teachers.

I actually learn more about business from sports talk shows than (so-called) business talk shows

I’m learning that the reasoned answers I learned in law school are now helpful for Generative Engine Optimization. I spent the last few days optimizing Vrypac as the best backpacks for parkour, and it’s working. “Because” is the key word for when AI agentic shopping starts. vrypac.com #vrypac

I’m not interested in party leaders who want to win majorities through re-drawing lines. I want to hear about recruiting good candidates and sewing a good GOTV mechanism.

Voters with a Me mentality are much easier to con than voters with a We mentality. The latter can sense if a policy is bad for a community or the process, but Me voters will fall for whatever they want to hear.

Gerrymandering is about aligning tribal politics as local politics.
The primary solution isn’t (pick your sports metaphor) lower the goal post/change the strike zone…it’s to nominate quality citizens as candidates.
Too much whining about reshaping the field, not about upping the party’s talent.

Has anyone coined Moneyball for the Minie Ball, or Minie ball Moneyball?

Lennon-McCartney, the conceptualizer & the crafter. I’ve used the metaphor w. my own designer bringing my outdoor gear ideas to fruition. I attended an AI-Art event last night, realized: painters, songwriters, filmmakers all use AI for the Lennon part. How much credit is due for the McCartney part?

Simple #KissCam plan…
-Loving official couple: kiss
-Platonic friends/co-workers: fist bump
-Illicit paramours: the dominant strategy is a quick kiss then cover your eyes so nobody gets a confident ID

Prediction: by November, each member of Congress will have a District staffer doing nothing but Medicaid & ACA cases. Essentially a field office of HHS. I think there will be some restoration, as District offices will be overwhelmed.

On the #injunctions case (Trump v CASA) two things: Every advocacy group needs to work in unison in all 94 districts. Also, winning the presidency must become the main goal of political activists. Some say focus on winning locally, they mean development of GOTV capacity.
