What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.?

“If Trump saves tiktok will you like him now?” Nope. He’s the one who started the process of banning it in 2020. I will be happy with the decision but you barely get credit for fixing something that was your fault to begin with.

Say what you want about TikTok’s data collection but let’s acknowledge there has never been an algorithm so accurately able to connect like minded people on any other platform, and probably never will be replicated again.
