@eveldick.bsky.social I'm getting the impression that Indian carnivals are deathtraps. So many of these ride fail videos seem to be taken in India. I guess the carnival employees aren't worried about killing or maiming, just like " there's plenty of Indians, they'll make more, no big deal?"

The pause you mentioned in the USA Today article is most-likely strategic so they can sell Japanese Suntory whiskeys to Canada and other countries boycotting the US whiskeys.
