Hi! Paraprofessional public librarian here. I ❤️ media/info literacy, can rock a storytime, and love a juicy reference question. I have a BA in Cultural Studies and Comp Lit with a focus on the intersection of technology and pop culture. I have 2 daughters, two cats, and one very loving husband.
We get it. You read Harry Potter as a kid and now you’re a horny mom with word processing software and unfulfilled fantasies. Just because you CAN write a dark academy enemies-to-lovers romantasy doesn’t mean you SHOULD.

But, I mean, if you do write one, why bother proofreading or editing it?

I just got trolled by Siri.

My youngest spawn: Hey Siri, play Christmas music!

[insert Siri cueing up some bland random Christmas music station]

Me: Hey Siri, play *better* Christmas Music.

[insert the opening strains of Mariah Carey’s magnum opus]

What happens when my plague rat children cough in my face and constantly steal sips of my water bottle when they are sick?

This is also how I got Covid back in 2022.

PS: the Vapostick is life changing #vicks #plaguerats

I’ve been on here too long not to have posted a pet pic by now…Willow is my husband’s. She’s a silver tabico with an orange undercoat and one completely orange back leg. Puck is my boy. He’s a cream tabby with orange eyes. They share a brain cell. Willow hangs onto it for safe keeping.

It’s 5pm on Sunday and I just now remembered I have Monday off from work.

It doesn’t get much better than this.

Current Teams discussion among youth services folx in the library system I work for: how often we all check under the bins for the picture books with LGBTQIA++ themes that have been hidden by patrons. People that hadn’t thought to look were shook once they checked under the bins in their branches.
