I was looking for a very flat extension cable so that I could keep use of the power outlet behind a shelf. This was the thinnest connector with a 3-prong outlet I've ever seen. #GE #ExtensionCord #TECH

Pano-Mounts sent me a revised version of their PPTM7950 phase change thermal pads in the 40x40mm size. It happened out of the blue, but it seemed worth trying out the new material to see how they changed the design! #PhaseChange #Computers #PCBuild #CPU #Heatsink

In this video I try out a simple 1080p USB webcam with Open Broadcasting Software (OBS) to see how it works as a potential replacement for my top-down camera that can only do autoexposure. Is this a better option, or should I stick with the C-mount UVC camera? #JLAB #webcam

In this video I take a look at this 128GB flash storage drive and test it against multiple older drives that I have on-hand with CrystalDiskMark in flash mode. #YouTube #Sandisk #FlashDrive

In this video I talk about my latest Operating System SSD and compare it to older drives I have on hand that I use in the same PC build. From my previous OS drive to a unique Highpoint 4x NVMe RAID PCIe expansion card as well as a traditional SATA SSD. (re-upload due to error)

I have a bunch of these fire resistant bags to store the multitude of camera batteries, old laptop batteries, and other devices with non-replaceable batteries as an added precaution. How much of a benefit is there? I hope I never have to know first hand! haha. #YouTube #tech

I bought this 2-pack of 1-foot Devinal 1/4" to 3.5mm female headphone extension cable TRS adapters because I was tired of the widely available, yet finicky, short adapters I use with a USB Motu M2 audio interface. #YouTube #AudioAccessories

I haven't used watercooling since the first time I tried it back in the Althlon XP era. At the time, most of the components could only be bought at home stores, pet shops, and automotive stores.

With how expensive computers can be, it's fun trying to repurpose lower cost used equipment or whatever you have on-hand. In this case I've been taking out the battery of old laptops I have so they are safer to use long term when attached to AC power. Let's explore the idea!
