Idk. PewDiePie actually liked the tinkering aspect of it. He is a techie who didn't know it yet. Not the same as a normal user.
I like Linux but it's hard to recommend it to anyone who doesn't care to learn how their computer actually works.

An administration cannot say they are fighting government waste and fraud, then unilaterally sign in policies like tariffs, which increase waste.
I work in a public university. Costs of common electronics will likely go up 2-3 TIMES. It will be passed onto taxpayers.

Yep. Once sat through a 1hr/day for 3 days training for a Microsoft Intune service, where I knew more about the permissions hierarchy than the Microsoft employee conducting the training did.

for those who violate it.
For FERPA rules, I know we can't let anyone in unless they're supposed to have access. Also we have to destroy both RAM and storage devices from computers and copiers before we send them off to recycling.

No need to get defensive. I know a few small plane pilots, they don't get out enough to comment on whether or not things have changed in the last week. I was genuinely curious.
I know there's small plane incidents all the time. Which is why I commented that it was prob a control surface failure.

Tariffs are a tax consumers pay.
Businesses have to pay such tariffs to get their products into countries that have them. So they'll either 1. avoid trading in said country. Or 2. raise the prices of goods to the factor of the tariffs.
They are NOT an effective sanction.

I saw it and liked it. Since my viewpoint pretty much aligns with yours, as an IT Specialist.
I get that there is a need to cut government waste. But there is a graceful and proper way to do it, and it's not anything like how Trump and Elon are going about it.

Even them backing Trump in his disbanding of the CSRB, when it's clear-cut retaliation. Whole new level of crazy. Democrats ain't got nothing on that circus.

More established automakers have almost caught up.
Now Tesla's pushing the envelope on self-driving, but in some ways GM is already ahead.
I think this is why.

So if the government really wants to do us good in the cybersecurity front, then they really need to write consumer protection and privacy laws with real teeth. Like the GDPR in Europe, or California's CCPA.
