We're still new here and setting up!

Account run by a small team of two aspiring indie game devs: GyD the programmer and Bronwynn the artist. Check out our output over the years at https://sunforge.itch.io !

The visuals are all coming together so nicely <3 We are very pleased with the progress so far, and almost done with the graphical overhaul!

Basically just constraints and rules for individual joints' behavior. I plan on experimenting with how far I can take it on a 3d body. Will probably have to learn quaternions, haha.

I did a very small, baby level inverse kinematics test in a game jam over the summer, that one was fully 2D; it's all about everything moving around the position of your object, as far as I have learned. Like, "don't let foot be more than this distance away from projection of center of gravity"

looking nice! i dig the aesthetic, and we need more classic zelda-likes in the world

Pfff that's fantastic, haha. I am unfamiliar with that format, maybe I should look it up; I was planning on starting with building my own skeletons manually and adding inverse kinematics but maybe I should look at all my options haha

Oh nice! Love the ortho 2D illusion technique, haha. Are you only animating for 2D perspective and just using the 3D space for draw order shenanigans or some other reason?
I haven't started yet, gotta finish a demo for our current project first, but I'll keep you in mind for when I do for sure!

I like the aesthetic of this, it's giving DOS platformer a lot and making me very nostalgic for some games I forgot even existed, haha

The roundest boi I ever done seen

I'm about to start working on my own skeletal animation nonsense, also in GMS. Except I will be dipping my toe into doing it in 3D, haha. Good luck with your project, it's looking good so far!

This is dope! I've been wanting to try my hand at mini-planets with localized gravity for a while now. Always fun to see others have a crack at it

Cozy is definitely what we're going for, thank you so much!

Yup! The twist is that your passengers are spirits with unfinished business, but limited time to get where they need to go to finish said unfinished business. So their individual timers are all part of the resource management!

This footage is just giving me such a strong itch to find out what happens if you drive over the cliff

if nothing else, moments like this at least give you some hilarious blooper footage! But I agree, failures like this are all the more motivating to keep going and get it right

that crunchy pixel aesthetic though, yum

I hope for more good news for you too. This is looking nice so far!
