During the Gilded Age (1870s-1900), forensic psychologists were known as alienists (since psychology was just forming as a discipline in the 1870s). Alienists assessed whether or not a defendant was competent to stand trial, or, if already found guilty, should be placed in an asylum for sentencing.

A fundamental principle of economics is that when supply increases, prices decreases. When demand increases, price increases. The reverse of each also applies. #teachitforward
