As busy as I’ve been, I’m playing Expedition 33 every chance I can find. The combat stays engaging and I love how each character has their own playstyle. The music, environments, the story, its just all come together perfectly so far and I’m only in Act 2.

Just finished Alan Wake 2. A masterclass in atmospheric storytelling. Beautifully eerie and incredibly captivating. I got so invested that I had to get the platinum. Remedy crafted one of the most memorable games in recent years, it’s a must play. Can’t wait for what’s next.

Great mail week apparently. Got my Metal Gear Solid board game in too! The minis look great, especially the Metal Gear Rex that a friend is painting for me. Hope to play this one soon.

Enjoyed an incredible (and emotional) performance at the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth world tour last night. Picked up a “No Promises to Keep” LP too! After not being able to make the FFVII Remake tour, glad we got to make up for it with Rebirth.

Very sad to hear the Square Enix cafe in Akihabara is closing. It was such a fun and unique stop on our honeymoon. Wishing them the best and hope to enjoy a Cosmo Canyon in the future. ✨

Was lucky enough to not have anyone sing during our showing of Wicked.
Was unlucky enough to sit next to a couple who were talking and texting the entire 3 hours.
Even through that, I still really enjoyed the movie. Always impressed by large scale choreography.

Other than Elden Ring DLC making the cut, I’m really happy with these nominees. Final Fantasy and Astro Bot are no surprise, but Metaphor and especially Balatro making the list have feels really good. It’s been a great year of game releases.

But the most upsetting thing? The hands in the handshake icon they used (generated?) have two different finger counts.

I’m glad that Blizzard worked to relaunch Warcraft 3 Reforged and make good on the mistakes of the initial launch. But really disheartened to see mention of hand drawn artwork when so much of it is just AI upscaling. Too many talented artists out there to justify this.

That Warcraft 30 Direct was incredible. Celebration of where we’ve come from, and soooo much to look forward to. I can’t believe they actually dropped player housing as the closer.

Found a bunch of old Pokémon stuff, including some badges I won from the Pokémon League Summer Training Tour in 1999. This was my first time officially competing and it’s still such a vivid memory. Thankful my parents drove so far to do something like this with me.

Just shy of 50 hours into Metaphor and it keeps finding ways to impress me. Hit a story beat recently that really shook things up. The gorgeous UI will stay with me long after I beat it. The archetype system, the music, it’s great all around. For never playing a Persona game, I love it!

Been playing Sea of Stars the past few weeks, incredible! I’m at the point of no return, and enjoying the late game clean up before wrapping it up. Scratching that Golden Sun itch I’ve had for a decade.
