Travails of writing as a plantser: I need to work on my outline to clarify my direction and tighten my pacing, but I really just want to write dialogue between my ridiculous characters and let the plot unspool itself that way.

So this is how I use art to support my writing. This sketch serves as a vibe check for the MG fantasy series I’m hoping to start pitching later this year. Is the draft giving this image? If not, I might need to course correct.

I found a way to talk about the tongue-eating louse in my current fantasy whodunit wip so I’m feeling undeservedly pleased with myself as a writer right now.
