Day 6 of my characters-in-environments challenge: "Walking through a crowded market while lost in thought." This one I do really like. It feels like feeling calm in a crowded place, just disappearing into the noise...

Day 5 of my current art challenge (characters in relation to their environments): "Pausing at the edge of a cliff as fog rolls in below." Not sure about this one - I don't mind it, but I don't love it either. It might look better with some value variation/color/shading?

I sketched this guy last week for day 4 of my current art challenge (drawing characters in relation to their environments). Day 4 was "Repairing something delicate in a cramped, poorly lit room." I'm not sure what he's working on, but I really like him.

My self-challenge for January is to draw characters in relation to their environment. Day 3: Standing knee-deep in floodwater inside a ruined street.

(The scaling is off, but otherwise fhis is my fave so far)

My self-challenge for January is to draw characters in relation to their environment. Day 2: Climbing onto a rooftop just as the city lights flicker on.

Doing another 31-day challenge. This time I'm pushing myself to draw characters in situations, reacting or interacting with their environment. Day 1: "Waiting for a delayed train on an empty platform at night."

My childhood self reading. We had this bay window that looked out into the woods.

Maybe it's the horrors of the present, but I'm getting a lot of comfort drawing the past. ❤️🎨

"A Link To Misfortune" is a humorous retrospective of my time playing A Link To the Past. With very little gaming experience, it was a challenging venture, but I adored it. Most of it. This 8-page folded zine will be available soon on my shop 🫶

I sketched this Emil back in October. Colored in some today in order to make prints to hand out at Super MAGFest in a few days :D I am beyond excited!

A page from my upcoming zine "Be My Magic." I remember collecting ALL kinds of stuff for altars when I was this age. The pentacle is based on my (real life) first one, bought at a local "Renfaire" type event.

"Be My Magic" is a sweet and hopeful zine about the beauty, power, and resilience of pagan faith. It follows a character over time and across religions, through a dark night of the soul, before resurfacing into the joy of God/dess. It'll also be my first full-color zine.

So, I always wanted to have a stack or shelf of books I'd written. Zines and comics are not the form I'd originally imagined for my work, but I'm still so freaking proud of this. ❤️

CaFAE is complete and available on my Etsy shop! This fun illustrated zine takes the reader to a delightful urban fantasy cafe run by Fae.

And yes, there's a sale on!

I had to learn to clean my printer for this zine, but it was worth it! And I probably should know that anyway...

Check out "The Storm That Speaks My Name," a sketchbook share zine: periwinklepaladin.etsy.com/listing/4398...

Oct. 28: "The quiet between heartbeats." This is a character from a web serial I'm currently obsessed with. She was around for five chapters, had one line, and made me ugly-cry for half an hour.
