It's clear that Kentucky Power's 15% rate increase, if approved, would burden electricity customers who are already burdened. They deserve more constructive solutions from their lawmakers, who seem determined to simply bring back coal:

Kentucky Power is asking the Kentucky Public Service Commission for approval to make upgrades to a 54-year-old coal plant in West Virginia so it can continue to operate beyond 2028.
