October 10: Hardcase was a favorite who exhibited a rather hyperactive and over-confident personality. He helped formulate a rogue plan to infiltrate the enemy during a battle by stealing enemy fighters, and ultimately made the sacrifice play to help his brothers escape behind enemy lines.

NYCC is done so I’m doing a bit of catch-up!

October 9: Clone Lt. Thire was featured in the very first Clone Wars episode alongside Jedi Master Yoda. With Yoda’s help, Thire and two other clone troopers took on a whole Battle Droid Battalion that attempted to stop them on their diplomatic mission.

10/8: Starting a new week with Clone Trooper Waxer! The Twi’lek child on his helmet represents his encounter with the child named Numa who he had helped to reunite with her family during an enemy occupation.

10/7: Clone Trooper Appo. This clone’s nickname and helmet insignia is an Easter egg that references writer Dave Filoni’s previous involvement with Avatar: The Last Airbender. Yip yip!

10/6: Commander Bly. He’s part of a clone trooper regiment that has dual-toned armor. As far as I’m aware, this basic attack faction is the only one that has more than one color signifying the squad.

10/5: Commander Gree! Funny enough, as unique as his hairstyle is it’s a common cut among other clone troopers. I haven’t had a chance to draw up clones in their Phase 1 helmets (style of armor early on in the war), so Gree is the first!

10/4: Captain Howzer technically appeared in The Bad Batch but played a role in condemning the Empire and helped a young Hera Syndulla escape from persecution.

Fun fact, I didn’t have an exact marker to match with his squad colors, so I made a mix of two markers to achieve this aqua tone!

10/3: Commander Wolffe of Plo Koon’s 104th Battalion Wolfpack squad. The Wolfpack insignia on his armor was illustrated with a white Gelly Roll pen, which is slowly becoming one of my favorite tools to use for detailing! Little accents like this make these illustrations pop!

10/2: Clone Commander Cody from Obi-Wan’s 212th battalion! I already made some changes to how I approach illustrating the clone characters, most notably the skin tone. I was afraid darker copics would muddy the inks, but thankfully that wasn’t the case! Enjoy this good-man-Cody for the day!

10/1: I wanted to test my skill and consistency with a different kind of #clonetober challenge: draw 31 Clone Troopers from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Started the trend with everyone’s favorite Clone Captain Rex!
