In 1980 when I was on the Iron Curtain I was 20years old. Trump was 34. My First Sargent, who was a Vietnam vet as well as our Battalion Sargent Major who was also a Vietnam vet were both 34 years old. The difference was they were real men, Trump never has been.

The first Christmas I spent away from home was 1978. I was in the back of an armored car on the Iron Curtain w/ a loaded Grease Gun on my lap. We passed around wine we were not allowed to have. We were laughing as snow flurries came down as we sang bawdy Xmas Carols.

Watching what I think is one of the all time great war movies: A Walk in the Sun. It has one of the most subtle gut wrenching scenes. The platoon sergeant, a vet who has seen plenty of action, can no longer take it and he breaks down burying his face in the dirt.
