The bad place (RIP 2008-2024) changed how I approach social media. Now, I listen more than speak, stay informed but I don’t get sucked in. My health is a priority, I laugh more, and keep a reserve of gratitude on hand! Beatrice helped me realize I’m on the right path. #AttitudeGratitude

Talked to so many people who were at the first protests of their lives today. Ex-Republicans, introverts, 90-year-olds and 3-year-olds. This was at an intersection in a 60,000 person town. Haven’t felt hope like this in my life.

Went to a No Kings local protest. It was FINE. Great turnout. Every walk of life. EVEN CONSERVATIVES. Lots of support by passing traffic & commercial vehicles. @msnbc.com is acting like everything stopped in MN. Friends who were at the capitol said it went off with no issues.

TBT Coming of age in the 80s was maybe the last best time in the US. The 90s were interesting but really just a rejection of the 80s. Bad hair aside—I don’t know how it is possible that people were more liberal & supportive of free speech, but it seems like they were. We’ve gone backwards since 9/11

There is a pit in my stomach, and I keep hearing the dissonant glissando of The Handmaid’s Tale soundtrack in my head.

Hear me out—Maybe Canada can adopt MN. We have a lot to offer. Robust tech and medical economy. Decent food supply. All things Prince. The Boundry Waters. Mining capabilities, green energy, 90% cool people—what’s not to love? 🤔

Random thing about me: I loved playing in the cemetery as a kid. It was a pretty green space with ancient monuments & shiny new granite. It felt magical. 📷: me

17 years on the bird app (2008!) And today I deleted all my accounts. I remember when you could email an engineer directly if you had an issue! It was fun while it lasted, and I’m grateful for the wonderful people I met there. I don’t often delete accounts—I still have a Live Journal and MySpace. 😝

I listened to the replay of AOC’s livestream, and she really helped me feel empowered and less overwhelmed. She is a great educator and organizer!

Just a reminder that shows get to continue based on immediate viewership and completion rates. Better than pirating, take a Free Trial Month, or watch at a friend's, because that counts for whether a show comes back, and the people who made it keep working.

This is Pippa.
Pippa just rolled in her poop & had to take a bath.
Evaluation: 100% puppy!

I’ve had this little nugget, Pippa, for a week & I’m staying home to make sure the fireworks aren’t too scary. I haven’t had a puppy in 14 years & she is keeping me on my toes!

Hello! I’m a GenX dog mom working on a dog accessories business. Sometimes I write things and make music—I was a post-punk kid & played in several unknown bands—now I mostly entertain the dogs in my home studio. I enjoy gardening & I’m into Dahlias. Ad biz survivor. Twin Cities area. #introductions
