Artist creating abstract animals, cityscapes, and faces. Perfect for those who dare to be different
When you put your work out there, you’ll get a few rude comments.

Not My Collector came from that — a satirical series inspired by real things said to me and other artists. The critics are fake, but the words are real.

If they don’t get it, I’m probably on to something.

Work in Progress. Adding the charcoal layer. She is starting to take shape now.

What do you think to the colour? Do you prefer brighter or more subtle art?

First piece in a new satirical series

They said it like an insult.
So I made it the headline.
#NotMyCollector

“Not My Collector” isn’t about rejection. It’s an experiment in presentation, showing the same paintings through the eyes of people who just don’t get it.

“I can’t believe they say this”

The kind of thing you read, roll your eyes at… and then make art about.

The full story behind Not My Collector lands in “Curious Minds” soon (see below)

What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve heard someone say about art?

I’m an artist, and a worrier. That’s how the Doubt Creature started. I’ve now painted two more based on anonymous submissions. In the new ones, I cover the doubt with stars or butterflies. Got a doubt to share? Add it to the Vault https://www.rfr.bz/bb645ce Might end up in my next piece.

Selling a painting for £10,000. Only accepting Monopoly money.

It’s about value, belief, and backing yourself.

Send £10k in Monopoly notes and a note saying why you want it.

Funny, honest, weird, personal, anything but boring.

One person will get the painting.

DM for details. Deadline: 7 Aug.

I thought this was finished.

But when I stepped back, it felt too calm.

And this is a Doubt Creature. It’s about tension. To reflect the battle in our minds.

So I’m making it rougher. More grungy. Grittier.

I’ll show you soon.

Would you trade £10,000 in Monopoly money for a real painting?

I’m making one piece. One chance. A bit of a social experiment.

Because I believe one day my art will be worth that.

Would you do it?

The Doubt creature showed up in my paintings years ago. Back then, I just painted it as it was.

This is the first time I’ve tried to quieten it with butterflies. A symbol of freedom.

They don’t erase the Doubt, but they soften it to a whisper.

I asked what to cover the Doubt with. You chose butterflies.

I tried them. Then stars. The stars felt better.

Not because of what they were, but how I painted them - loose, imperfect, free.

So I changed the butterflies too.

Now they breathe. Now it feels right.

Painting over Doubt with butterflies

The butterflies symbolise freedom from the doubt.
They don’t completely cover the Doubt creature, but they soften it to a quiet whisper.
Just enough so you can kick its arse.

Will this be the face that stands trial?

Or is she too strong to fall?

What dream are you working on right now?

This piece is called True Self.
Inspired by Severance and all the different versions of us we carry.

It belongs in a home office where big dreams happen.

For the thinkers, the planners, the ones with buzzing brains.

My Outie is varnishing "True Self".

If you haven’t seen Severance, this'll make no sense — but that show sparked the idea.

It’s about the different sides of ourselves and how we shift in different spaces.

Nearly ready. Let me know if you want more info.

Thinking about a spin-off: The Doubt Creature — no face needed.

A comment got me thinking… maybe the chaos, texture, and words are strong enough. The creature speaks for itself.

I’d still add something symbolic—maybe flowers or something around it.

Thoughts?

Doubt showed up shouting again.
This one was shared anonymously at DoubtVault.com.

I’m painting over it—partly—to take its power away.
But I need your help:

What should I paint over it with?
🌸 Flowers
🦋 Butterflies
❤️ Hearts
🌟 Stars

Got told my art was “awful, childish, a waste of time.”
The Doubt Creature whispered: “Play it safe.”
But I’m not here to blend in.
I’m following my intuition — abstract faces with meaning.
If doubt shows up, I’ll paint right over it.
Do you think she'd like my Doubt Creature? 😁
