A gentle reminder that it is absolutely normal + valid to have emotional & somatic responses to historical moments in unprecedented times, in a capitalistic society, in a flailing democracy when we are trying to live our lives w/o spiraling 🌀 to feel is a sign we are not numb to this new abnormal

The acronym is impressive but what would be more impressive is for the bill to pass and enacted before its namesake wrecks more chaos.
BREAKING: Rep. Mark Pocan has introduced the ELON MUSK act which would ban "special" government employees like Musk from having federal contracts.

The full title of the bill is the Eliminate Looting of Our Nation by Mitigating Unethical State Kleptocracy Act.

I unfortunately know people who voted for the current President because of Palestine & I wonder what their thoughts are from his recent actions 🤔 I understand voting third party but a vote for him absolutely made no sense when they were supposedly outraged at the previous administration’s response.

During his previous term, I worked with immigrants, refugees, & asylum seekers. During his current term, I work with people who hold different immigration statuses. It feels surreal that we still need to advocate & agitate for our immigrant community when this country is made on immigrant labor.
