"Step Step Step," me and Damon Locks, 2023

my back to the camera, bodily lunging sideways with arms framing my head unevenly. I am blocking/silhouetted in front of Damon, who stands behind a sound equipment table. in front of Damon's sound equipment table, which is covered in printed fabric, the two of us lean across the space between us to form a triangle of weight-sharing, hands on each others' heads and shoulders. A bright light under the table shines direct at the camera; the front edges of our brightly patterned jumpsuits are highlighted. Damon is fully visible in his red and blue striped jumpsuit as he presses buttons in the background at his table while watching me, dancing with my face up toward the ceiling, bathed in the light of a painter's light I am holding overhead.
