The Bastei ("bastion") in Saxon Switzerland, part of the defensive structures Neurathen Castle. First mentioned in 1592. The a sandstone bridge, but was wooden until 1851. Bastei rising 194 metres (636 ft) above the Elbe Rive.

Porto Flavia, Sardinia, Italy. A unique port, ore was loaded onto ships directly from the mine. Zinc, lead and silver were mined here. Engineer Cesare Vecelli named it Porto Flavia in honor of his daughter Flavia in 1924. Construction was fast and completed in 2 years.
