chaotic foolish. writer, critic and recovering TV producer. host of Going Rogue, a podcast about troubled films and the industry that makes them, if you even care.
If it takes me 10 hours to read a book my sister in Christ I am spending that time with someone who put six months in, not autofill on speed.

(the wilful ignoring of media consumers in any discussion of AI is infuriating and will hopefully be the technology’s downfall)
“If I can generate a book in a day, and you need six months to write a book, who’s going to win the race?” God this is bleak

PSA if you’ve DM’d me on Bluesky and I haven’t responded I don’t hate you, I hate the age verification process on this site and it’s locked me out of DMs. You can always reach me via email or, if you’re not a coward, tag me in a public post.

I maintain all sports commentaries should include one person who doesn’t know how the sport works and is trying not to get noticed.

In the 2010s, the Icelandic tv station Channel 2 accidentally added subtitles from a gritty crime drama to an episode of Teletubbies.

worth remembering the VFX team on Pirates lowkey lived in fear cos Verbinski has a VFX background (I wanna say compositing?) so they could not sneak a single cheat past him. one of his favourite details was Davy Jones' lil exhaust spout going pink in direct sunlight like a human ear.
