Yesterday's final St. Ann's Bay Health Group community hike of the season; 14 hikers and 6 dogs! Thanks to Winnie Asaphutchison for leading us through woodlot trails off Big Farm Road, and a shared meal of soups, bread and sweets afterwards.

The St. Ann's Bay Health group community hike was afforded a glorious day to explore scenic trails including beaver dams, a waterfall and a frozen lake in West Tarbot. All topped off with a delicious soup afterwards! Much thanks to Ruth and Aaron for your hospitality!

Photo of my mother, Christiane née Ferrière. Seeing this much younger version of my mother, sitting on a window ledge at her family home in Chaumont, France, makes me wonder just how quashed her dreams might have been at that point, just after WWII and having lost her mother to that war.
