The 8 regions were each ruled by a species or group of species, each descendant from different predators: Silth (foxes), Grashen (wolves), Nut Kalu (polar bears), Reng Kalu (black bears), Reng Kalu (brown bears), Nar (felines), Jin (raccoons), Thihn & Shehk (weasels & genets)

One of the most important events to happen in Lar was the war that led to it being given a name. Prior to the war, the region was divided into 8 separate sections, each ruled by a different predator species. They each had their own languages, customs, and governments
