while you were watching the game, I published an analysis of the proposed agreement to try and separate rhetoric from specifics.
Approving the CRA services agreement has been delayed a few times as Council/Board member Carlson attempts to make modifications, including offering a substitute agreement. I wanted to know what specifics he was proposing so I deconstructed the two agreements to find the differences.

And because the South Howard project is taking up all of the oxygen in the room, there are significant projects that won’t be discussed. As discussions outside council chambers moves towards next year's elections, don’t lose focus on the importance of the budget they will inherit.

I assure you, if this project wasn't dominating the agenda, I wouldn't be writing about it. Until moral improves, the South Howard Flood Relief Project posts will continue.

it is 8:41 and they are still on public comment on the 1st item of the agenda. The second item could get as much comment if this passes (big if).

There are 9 other items on the agenda beyond the 2 tied. together.

CRA Board Chair Luis Viera's office responded to a request for comment with the message "shared to the public"

"Due to unforeseen circumstances personal to council members, we are having to reschedule this meeting. Thank you very much. I apologize for any inconvenience.”

Tampa's Community Redevelopment Agency Board meeting (city council sitting as the board) was canceled this morning. Comments on Facebook suggest the meeting was canceled due to a notorious regular speaker at public comment appearing in costume with homophobic references.
