My marine biologist son Rob has lived on the same island for 7 years, doing painstaking work to improve biodiversity and train local people in conservation. Here’s a new video. Nothing dramatic (he’s not Attenborough and doesn’t have a film crew). Just a healthy coral reef:

Statesman. Peacemaker. Author. Servant Leader. Humble. Charitable. Faithful. Devout. Principled. Hard Working. Committed. Prophet for Democracy. Lover of America.

just blurted out in class "yes, you have to cite where you got your info. in a world in which lying loudly is the only thing that seems to get rewarded, citing your sources is an act of resistance" and folks, I really believe that.

The hustle for provisions,
Ingenuity of commerce—
Ideas that once woke us in the night,
Offering a plan, a promise,
Now raise questions:
Whose interests are being served
In this Culture of Disconnection?

Her ideas 💡 are solutions that sound fair, practical and doable.

The only problem is getting any of it passed into law.

How many independent media and podcast interviews did the leaders of the Democratic Party do today, since they are now starting to talk a big game about “building up progressive alternative media?” Don’t just talk about it, lead by example, and don’t just keep doing cable news.

Thinking of Elon Musk saying United Health Care’s first duty was to make money for its stockholders.

This is a place we’ve gone wrong as a country.

A company’s first duty should be to its customers, who put money IN, not its shareholders, who take money OUT.

He begins with the line:

“Grim was the world and grey last night:

and proceeds to contrast the bleakness of the world with the joy and light brought by Christ’s birth.

giving unchecked power to the rich and powerful always ends in ruin. Fox News will be remembered as the architect of democracy's destruction, Musk a boy-man who had everything but a soul, Trump the embodiment of evil-those who voted for this as willfully ignorant.
