The classical age of different houses of royalty ruling in Europe has long gone but shocking marriages are back. Only this time it's neoclassical music and techno.
This might sound like pure delulu narcissism, but I have a strong feeling my new single, One eleven, is up the street of 6 Music's @maryannehobbs.bsky.social. 👀

@reckless.bsky.social @davidpierce.xyz I cannot think of any sensible reason behind the inclusion of this feature other than Apple engineers having listened to the BBM episode of 'Version History'

Sam Rivers was definitely one of the coolest bassists of my teen years. A true legend of a player. Will miss him and his sound deeply.

My M1 Pro MacBook Pro choked up a bit during mixing yesterday. I am currently looking at a Windows-based system but I am still a bit reluctant to switch. Would be nice to get decent performance for less money and adequate upgradeability though

You cannot say big corporations are not learning from each other. In the end, Apple did not go with naming their service "TV" like HBO did with Max.

Got from "something's off with the bass" to realizing the channel was muted in under 10 minutes 💪 One cup of coffee is never enough for sure.

"I used a limiter first in my recording chain to catch the peaks" is a sentence I did not expect to read today. Or... ever?

Decided I would share albums that have been important to my personal but more importantly, professional growth.

24 years ago today, Björk's seminal album 'Vespertine' was released. Mixed by Mark 'Spike' Stent and mastered by Christian Wright.

A true masterpiece in arrangement, production, mixing.

Spotify's DM function, weird and unnecessary it may seem, is a logical and very business-deiven feature. "Let's chain them to our app."

It would be better however, if artists could send pre-set DMs after the user adds an album. For example liner notes and credits.

Not gonna lie, I have done whole song arrangements in Starbucks but I was hardly going to spend a whole day there and leave my stuff there to go have lunch in an entirely different place...

It feels quite peculiar when I see artists looking for mixing and/or mastering engineers mentioning the genre of their music. I mean, mixing and mastering if the engineer's good, has to be genre-agnostic.
