Our research associate, Dr. Ackerly, has been a busy fish! She gave a talk at the International Congress on the Biology of Fish in Michigan and then gave another talk at the Society for Experimental Biology Conference in Prague. After all that, she still had energy for fieldwork!

Thankful I adopted a dog at the start of my PhD. People thought I was crazy because of how much care they need, but I would argue that Anitta has enhanced my graduate experience. Because of her I have to set boundaries in my work life and get endless affection 💜🐶 👩🏽‍🔬 #DogMom

hello friends 🌌! i’m a research associate at ut marine science institute. i am interested in how environmental stressors impact fishes.

right now, i am particularly interested in how pfas affect fishes and how they occur / bioaccumulate in marine ecosystems. i work often with redfish and minnows!
