Thinking about how, as a kid, JUST SAY NO and DARE had me so ready for the day some random person would offer me drugs on the street.

Anyways, my dog and I just waked past the local cannabis store and they gave me a THC seltzer sample and he got a CBD biscuit. We’re having a nice walk 🍃👩🏼🐶💚

It’s Yuffie birthday! This is the first Yuffie chapter I wrote and I’ve been hooked since. Yuffie is so FUN. She’s brave and bouncy, but has a vulnerability to her bc like many FF7 characters, underneath it all, she’s a kid who grew up too fast. HBD to the annoying little sister of the FF7 family!
The streets of Edge were dark and Yuffie was thankful for it. Usually, if she were to visit Cloud and Tifa, she arrived in a bit more style. She liked to burst through the doors of Seventh Heaven at peak hours. To have Tifa welcome her like family and give her a seat at the best spot at the bar. To eat and drink for free, to the envy of the less special patrons. Even better if she could make Cloud give her a ride in from wherever she was coming from. The request always seemed to bring him equal amounts enjoyment and irritation. Fair enough, Yuffie did enjoy irritating Cloud. The motorcycle never seemed to make her quite as sick as other forms of travel, and she liked to use the time on the road to think of ways to embarrass him upon arrival. Like yelling, Help! I'm being kidnapped, just as they pulled up to Seventh Heaven. Or reminding Cloud loudly and publicly as they walked through the doors, Hey, when you give me a ride, don't forget I'm downwind. As much as I’m having fun writing stuff for Christmastime, as someone who posts a new chapter or story to AO3 the second it’s ready, waiting for December is killing me a little. Currently working on a fun Aerith & Tifa one-shot inspired by Santa Baby #WIPWednesday
The Gold Saucer was the hottest date night destination. There would be fireworks tonight! Was there anything more romantic than seeing fireworks from the Skywheel? Surely, Cloud might have chosen better. Although, who really knew when it came to Cloud. And what did Aerith really know? To the more pressing matter - all the fun she had missed! Dates she had never been on, all the boys she never kissed. Aerith had never been on a date at the Gold Saucer, much less on a date with two men and a cat. She did not have to even ask to know that Tifa had not either. "He's made his choice," Aerith said. Aerith grabbed Tifa's hand and continued forward. She had made her choice too. They both deserved some fun.

We should all be furious that GenAI has taken from us the simple joy of looking at and appreciating art without suspicion that it was churned out by a slop machine. Even if it falls out of fashion, that human connection we have is forever changed. We should be livid.

Everytime I see something new I have to look closely & judge it

"Is this AI?" Sometimes it's easy to spot, other times I won't know for sure & have to ask around/research when I shouldn't need to

It's stressful

Yes, preach. Characters are NOT human and they shouldn't be viewed that way. Sometimes they're a way to explore a theme or to serve as a metaphor. Sometimes they make decisions not bc it's logical but for the sake of progressing a story or adding conflict to keep things interesting. & that's fine.
