Oof. That's a completely different can of worms than what I was initially thinking of. All I can say is S.Korea has a lot of societal pressures due to their education system and work culture, and those that have the free time to post online take that frustration out in very unhealthy ways.

Might be people overcorrecting in reaction to those sex tourists who would go to the Philippines/Indonesia and lead on women with the extra spending power they get from having a stronger currency. Haven't seen exactly what's been said but I'd guess that would be a cause.
